Assistant Relationship Manager Team Leader – (Technical)

Brief description

This role is a fundamental part of the team structure and as such requires an individual to have a breadth of skills to accommodate varied activities required to support the team to deliver service excellence on a day to day basis for our customers. The ability to proactively manage and priorities work through an ever-changing landscape, being approachable and a team player is paramount to ensure business success. Excellent communicator across all levels of the business is essential. This role is office based and full-time hours.

Purpose of the role

Reporting into the Manager of Internal Sales you will oversee the technical aspects of the assistant relationship manager role.

Duties and responsibilities

Working closely with the Manager of Internal Sales you will;

  • Act as a subject matter expert across all the Assistant Relationship Manager processes
  • Lead by example in displaying the most accurate and effective methods of carrying out the essential team tasks
  • Deputise for the Assistant Relationship Manager, where required
  • Provide project support, including user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Assist the Manager with staff training through the provision of training material through individual or team training
  • Process transactions and make decisions in line with the agreed mandates
  • Drive efficiencies through identifying process failings and suggesting appropriate improvements 
  • Liaise with internal customers (eg. New Business, Credit, Asset) to ensure that team interactions are effective
  • To proactively attract, process, and deliver an agreed conversion of new lending proposals to support business growth

Skills

  • Understanding of governance, risk management and compliance frameworks. Detail knowledge of Asset Finance products and services including providing quotes and figures for customers
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to work under pressure, to use initiative and to recognise and act upon priorities
  • Excellent teamworking and interpersonal skills
  • Integrity, respect for confidentiality, sound judgement and decision-making skills
  • Willing and able to adopt a flexible approach as required, using initiative to multi task and work on several assignments simultaneously and to tight schedule

Qualifications and experience

You must have proven credit analysis skills, both numerical and in business. Previous experience of working in Asset Finance is essential, with knowledge of governance, risk management and compliance prefered.

Working hours

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm (one hour for lunch).

Training

Relevant training will be provided.
