Brief description

An exciting opportunity to join our Business Change team as a Senior Change Manager, leading a team of experienced change professionals in the planning and delivery of key strategic change projects across the Group.

Reporting to the Head of Business Change and Simplification, the manager will have line management responsibilities as well as their own direct responsibilities to deliver change projects.

This full-time position will support business transformation and brings opportunity to engage stakeholders across the Group to ensure change is effectively planned, delivered to time, within budget and meets required standards.

Purpose of the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Utilising your specific knowledge and expertise you will undertake detailed research and analysis of a particular project topic and submit reasoned recommendations and/or requirements for its implementation into the Business. Additionally, you will have Line management responsibilities for a team of Change Managers, setting objectives, coaching and managing performance.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects to include: -
    • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
    • Assemble and coordinate project resource from around the Business
    • Manage project budget
    • Plan and schedule project timelines
    • Quality assurance
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Project evaluations and assessment of results
  • Problem identification and solution formulation


  • Line manager with a proven experience in setting objectives, coaching and managing performance
  • Understands project management processes through the attainment of PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification
  • A focused proactive approach, self-motivated and able to acquire new skills and grasp concepts quickly
  • Integrity, respect for confidentiality, sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure, to use initiative and to recognise and act upon priorities
  • Willing and able to adopt a flexible approach as required, to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously and under tight schedules
  • As a minimum, to be proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint plus have the ability to both navigate the internet to source information and to develop your MS Office skills in the aforementioned packages as well as an understanding of what Visio, Access and Project provide.
  • Specific subject matter expertise obtained from the knowledge and experience gained from working in Financial Services.

Qualifications and experience

Must have experience of working in a similar role – with a minimum 5 years’ experience in project Management and experience in managing teams. Ideally will be APM or PRINCE2 qualified and experience in working in financial services.

Working hours

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch).
