Brief description

If you’re enthusiastic, a creative thinker and want to practice your marketing and communication skills, we’re looking for someone wanting to build on their experience over the course of their gap year, to join our busy team.

Purpose of the role

To assist in the production and delivery of activity to meet business objectives. The role will involve working across the External Relations teams including Marketing, Communications and Insight.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist the teams with daily administrative tasks (eg attend meetings, minute taking, proof reading)
  • Assist on marketing and communication promotional activity (eg direct mail, email marketing, PR, internal communications and web)
  • Build strong inter-team relationships through regular briefing discussion, work planning and pro-active contact
  • Assist in ensuring deadlines are met
  • Provide regular updates on progress of all marketing activities
  • Assist in bringing together all aspects of marketing communications, ensuring that all messaging and communications strategies are consistent across all channels and are centred on the customer
  • Assist in preparing creative briefs
  • Prepare copy for collateral, web, social media and mobile applications, adhering to best practices
  • Assist in the measurement of results of all activity, helping to produce regular MI
  • Work closely with internal functions to ensure that all advertisements, disclosures, and marketing collateral comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Make sure activity is aligned with Paragon’s brand values and behaviours, ie legal and compliant, decent and truthful, and incorporates the principles of Treating Customers Fairly and improving customer outcomes

  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Able to manage multiple activities through to satisfactory conclusion in a high-pressure environment
  • Good team player, proactive and also able to work on own initiative
  • Strong copywriting skills and the ability to communicate ideas
  • Strong proof reading skills
  • Confident
  • Personable, presentable and articulate

Qualifications and experience

Ideal candidate will be in the process of obtaining a marketing, or similar, qualification

Working hours

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch)

Training

Relevant training will be provided
