Brief description

We’re looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our Analytics team, initially on a 12 month fixed term to cover maternity leave. If you have a logical and systematic approach to problem solving and system design and you’re interested in working for a growing company then this could be the role for you.

Purpose of the role

To work within the Data Warehouse and Reporting team to enhance the SQL Data Warehouse, which holds key loan by loan data from the core servicing platforms for the entire range of the Group’s loan portfolios. The role will focus on regulatory reporting, ensuring the data for existing and new regulatory requirements are integrated into the data warehouse and the reports are generated directly from the warehouse.

Duties & responsibilities
  • To maintain and develop the SQL code which provides the Data Warehouse facility, enabling delivery of all the Group’s reporting and analysis
  • Develop a good understanding of Group’s core IT servicing platforms and loan portfolios in order to build a Data Warehouse to ringfence regulatory reporting.
  • Use techniques such as dimensional modelling, layers and staging to streamline the current process and make it more efficient
  • Document the entire Data Warehouse process, including the ETL processes, SQL procedures and database tables.
  • Responsibility for testing new SQL code to ensure correct results are achieved before being incorporated into the ‘Live’ Warehouse
  • Undertake routine housekeeping exercises, including data archiving, system testing and backups as well as ensuring the environment and data are always adequately secured
  • Work closely with the DW & Reporting Manager to ensure the Data Warehouse build is able to meet the analytical and reporting requirements of the business
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL development software
  • Logical and systematic approach to problem solving and system design
  • The ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Strong mathematical and programming background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications and experience

Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL development software, with two to three years’ experience in development and Data Warehouse design and a strong mathematical and programming background.

Working hours

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch).


Relevant training will be provided.
