Brief description

An opportunity for a purchasing professional with experience of end to end purchasing processes to join a newly developed function of the bank. This position requires a driven individual with strong organisational and analytical skills who is capable of driving purchasing activity in a regulatory environment, whilst working collaboratively to support the Group Property function in delivery of business objectives.

Working in an evolving environment the successful applicant must also demonstrate a capacity for continuous process improvement and a desire to develop professional skills.

Purpose of the role

To carry out strategic procurement activities and supplier relationship development in conjunction with Group Property sourcing requirements, whilst also supporting procurement process development in order to ensure best practice and efficient delivery.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Strong interpersonal skills and committed to providing excellent customer care
    • Excellent influencing and communication skills in verbal and written forms at all levels
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines
    • Excellent analytical skills and able to work with, and present recommendations through data
    • A good level of self-motivation and able to motivate team and be a good team player
    • Committed to on-going development of the skills required for high quality performance in role

Qualifications and experience

  • Knowledge of supply chain practices and procedures
  • 3+ years Supply Chain experience and relevant CIPS qualifications (or being obtained)
  • Capable of working in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in procurement for facilities management is desirable

Working hours

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch).

Training

Relevant training will be provided.
