Technical Administrator

Brief description

We are looking for a methodical and matriculas minded administrator, who will be based in the Northampton office, to support the legal compliance of a commercial vehicle fleet.

Purpose of the role

To ensure that all repairs, maintenance, and servicing of vehicles is completed in line with legal and contractual requirements.

Duties & responsibilities
  • Manage all vehicles to ensure that they comply with current legislation, company policies and are road legal
  • Ensure all certification and documentation is current and correct
  • Monitoring for repeat repairs/warranty/ non-fair wear and tear issues
  • Assist Technical Service Manager with month end and various other reports
  • Assist with resolution of invoice queries
  • Monitor and maintain compliance spreadsheets
  • Checking general CPC/O license issues
  • Prompt liaison between customer and maintenance providers
  • Liaise with internal and external providers to ensure that documents are received checked and scanned onto the fleetwave system
  • Monitoring the daily backup has correctly completed and raising any faults
  • Good work organisation
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • IT literate with experience of using Outlook, excel and word
  • Ability to work unsupervised and at own initiate
  • Able to prioratise own work load
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and react quickly to changing business needs

Qualifications and experience

Ideally you should have previous experience of working in a similar role within the commercial vehicle industry.

Working hours

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm (one hour for lunch).


Relevant training will be provided.
