Employee engagement

We monitor employee engagement levels through employee surveys. Our most recent survey returned a response rate of 91% and an overall engagement score of 86%. This compares favourably to the average of 81% in the financial services sector.

We recognise the benefit of keeping employees informed of the progress of the business and have adopted a number of different strategies to encourage involvement.

People Forum

We operate a People Forum, attended by employee representatives from each area of the business. This exists primarily to facilitate communication and dissemination of information throughout the business although it also provides a means by which employees can be consulted on matters affecting them.

Regular information

We provide employees with regular information on the performance and plans of the business, and the financial and economic factors affecting it, through electronic information and presentations.

Sharesave and profit sharing

We also operate a Sharesave share option scheme and a profit sharing scheme, both of which enable eligible employees to benefit from the performance of the business.

Paragon’s directors also encourage employee involvement at all levels through the appraisal process and communication between directors, managers, teams and individual employees.
