Encouraging involvement

We recognise the benefit of keeping employees informed about the progress of the business and have adopted a number of different strategies to encourage involvement.

People Forum

Our People Forum is attended by employee representatives from each area of the business. It exists primarily to facilitate communication and dissemination of information throughout the business although it also provides a means by which employees can be consulted on matters affecting them.

The purpose of the Forum is to encourage and develop an employee voice to support effective decision making and continual business improvement, to protect our strong culture and to deliver good customer outcomes.

It has been designated as the channel through which employee views are communicated to the Board as required by the 2018 Corporate Governance Code and, starting from November 2019, regular meetings with the non-executive directors will take place.

Regular information

We provide employees with regular information on the performance and plans of the business, and the financial and economic factors affecting it, through electronic information and presentations.

Sharesave and profit sharing

We operate a Sharesave share option scheme and a profit sharing scheme, both of which enable eligible employees to benefit from the performance of the business.

Regular communication

Paragon’s directors encourage employee involvement at all levels through the appraisal process and communication between directors, managers, teams and individual employees.
