I completed a 12-month undergraduate internship with the Procurement department. I chose to do a placement year to build on my existing skills and to get the important experience I’ll need when I come to apply for graduate roles.

The recruitment process helped me get a feel for the culture and values at Paragon and I knew I would be coming into a professional environment where I could learn a lot.

One of the main highlights of my year was the opportunity to work with different areas around the business. I had the unique opportunity to speak with multiple people and get an insight into how the different teams operate on a day-to-day basis, as well as how they support the business and the other areas around them.

I did find it quite challenging to adapt to the different routine and lifestyle after coming from university but I adjusted quickly in the first few weeks thanks to everyone in my team and department who made me feel very welcome.
