I completed a 12-month internship with the External Relations department after finishing the second year of my Business Management and Marketing degree at Nottingham Trent University. Not only have I been able to put what I’ve learned into practice, I’ve also gained valuable experience before graduating and discovered which areas of marketing I enjoy the most.

During my internship, I worked with four different teams in the External Relations department; savings, customer insight, digital marketing and internal communications. This gave me a wide range of experience and an in-depth look at how marketing can make a difference.

The experience has given me a real insight into what the world of work is all about. It’s taught me some valuable lessons and helped me prepare for my future career in marketing.

If you’re considering an internship, then definitely go for it! Internship placements are very competitive but 100% worth it. I feel much more confident going back to do my final year at university and I have loved the experience working at Paragon.
