Brief description

If you are an experienced Support Analyst seeking a 6-month contract to support a very busy team then we want to hear from you.

Purpose of the role

A multi-facetted role supporting both internal and external users in their use of IT applications to carry out their day to day activities.

Duties & responsibilities
Skills

2nd/3rd line issue investigations including: -

    • Owning and progressing incidents, problems and requests
    • Gaining and using an understanding of applications supported, and the business’s use of them, to troubleshoot at the application level
    • Gaining and using an understanding of underlying system configurations, data structures and integrations to troubleshoot at a lower level
  • Conduct business analysis
  • Provide Software solutions to fulfil requirements – largely report writing

Change Management: -

  • Follow applicable Change Management processes
  • Support the business users in considering and implementing process and procedural changes and manage the related systems impact
  • Agree project prioritisation with the business to ensure the greatest impact
  • Produce documentation to support changes as they occur
  • Test, implement and prepare supporting documentation

Administration: -

  • Contribute to the on-going development of system automation of tasks to remove responsibility from users
  • Undertake data cleansing work as required by internal and external clients
  • Ability to undertake data migration work between systems

Essential Skills: -

  • Previous demonstrable experience of working in an Application Support role
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of SQL via the use of SSMS
  • To have experience of workflow tools to support business processes
  • Good technical understanding of Microsoft Office products

Desirable Skills: -

  • Asset Finance experience
  • An understanding Direct Debit processes for both BACS and SEPA
  • Ability to write reports in Crystal
  • Reporting writing in SSRS Version 2008 R2 Upwards
  • Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
  • Experience with SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services)
  • Experience with Outsystems and/or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Understanding of fundamental ITIL principles to Foundation level

Working hours

37.5 hours working Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 5.30 with one hour for lunch

Relevant training will be provided.
